Still Kicking…

So I’ve been contemplating shutting down my blog for awhile now…things are changing on the family front. BIG CHANGES. Nothing bad, but definitely life changing. Because of that, I’ve been busy elsewhere. I haven’t touched my sewing machine in a month, and I probably won’t for another couple of months. Before the bombed dropped (so to speak), I was working on this little lovely:
Its a variation on the Drunkard’s Path block. Its all Flower Sugar by Lecien, and will eventually have a green, yellow, and pink ‘ring’ as well. Its for my good friend Doe’s birthday. Which was in April. Yes. I know. Shameful. I’m hoping to have some time to work on it this week.
Alas, it is time for me to get back to the real reason I got on my computer: my term paper is due tomorrow and I haven’t written a sentence. I only have 6 more months until I graduate from grad school!! I cannot wait! Its fun to use my grown up brain, but its a heck of a lot of work!

I would hate to see you “gone” from the blogging world. I vote that you just post when you can and we can check in when you do. I haven’t seen my machine in awhile either. Life does get in the way.

Ooh, I hope you don’t shut your blog down completely. I want to hear about these big changes. Jot me a note whenever you can. I know what you mean about life getting in the way. I tell you more about it later.

Oh, I so totally hear you about life getting busy. I’m working towards the end of my grad degree right now, too (It’s taken WAY too long), and I often take unintended breaks from my blog. But I hope you won’t shut down completely! I’ve been considering posting a “I won’t be responding to emails in the next little while due to life being crazy” message on mine, so that I can keep it up, but not have people thinking that I’m ignoring them. Perhaps you could do something similar?
